End of the month review: July, 2005
Started July 2 C Finished August 1, 2005. Posted 26 September 2005
I should go home and do things like homework and find a dresser and a bookcase so I can get my things off the floor. Instead, I thought I'd write an entry. But instead of writing an entry, I discovered I have this administration crap. Again. So a quick rundown:
- Best book: Bob Adelman, with "Tijuana Bibles." Though it seems it would more appropriate to read now, as I'm all alone n' shit.
- Worst book: Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill, with "Marshal Law: Day of the Dead" Ick. Usually these are graphic novels, but this time it was a mini-novel with the occasional page of artwork. I brought this back to the store six hours before I was scheduled to fly away to a remote island, and thus didn't get paid for it. And I don't care.
So for the books read between July 2 and August 1...
- Books read: Ten.
- Money spent on books read during this period: $30.73.
- Books bought: I have no idea. The list I made is back in San Jose, and most of my stuff is still in boxes.
- I also sold somewhere around four to five hundred books back to the store before I left. I made just under a thousand dollars from this sale, which made it possible for me to ship my car over, only to get it towed away four days later. Yeah.
Anyway, for 2005 thus far...
- I read 76 books.
- I also spent $313.24 on books this year.
Now I have to write that real entry.
And buy a dresser and some bookcases.
A bed would be nice as well.
I think I'll go smoke first, though. Be back soon.
