OK, quick poll – how many of you knew that if you take a bunch of eggs, put them in a pan, set the heat to boil and then fall asleep because you’ve been working 12 to 20 hours each day, that the eggs, after having all the water boil away, will eventually explode?
Nobody? Don’t feel bad. I just figured this out a little while ago. I woke up thinking Hawaii was having a sequel to Pearl Harbor.
Anybody out there seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 back from the 80s? “Napalm! Nam flashback! Nam flashback!”
That was me.
There’s a revelatory scene in this series, one basically tying in soap opera elements and adding zombies, where the harried leader of a rag tag group of humans trying to survive in a world taken over by the undead points at the zombies milling about outside. “All along, we’ve been calling them the walking dead,” he shouts, (or something like that) with random words in bold for emphasis in typical comic book fashion. “Don’t you get it? We are the walking dead!”
I can relate.
